Note: Barn Sanctuary's about page specifically states that they give each animal in their care "the highest possible quality of life with top-notch medical care and enriched, clean and safe living environments." While this is good for the animals at Barn Sanctuary, it significantly limits the number of animals they can help.
Barn Sanctuary primarily contributes to animal advocacy by creating footage of animals they've saved, and by allowing people to visit saved animals in person.
This type of advocacy is great at resonating with people emotionally, but it is less cost-effective than other interventions.
