Why We Don't Recommend Donating to ALF Supporters Group
ALF Supporters Group is an organization that supports Animal Liberation Front (ALF).
In a 2005 U.S. Senate hearing, the FBI identified ALF as one of the two "most active criminal extremist elements in the United States," and the chairman overseeing the hearing called ALF "terrorists by definition."
Later, in 2013, the Department of Homeland Security published a report documenting bombing and arson attacks that had been committed by ALF (and ELF, its environmentalist counterpart).
Criminal activity undermines the credibility of the animal protection movement, and should not be supported. And although ALF Supporters Group may not commit crimes itself, it exists to support an enterprise that does. Accordingly, we do not recommend donating to ALF Supporters Group.
